Jenna Baum, Psy.D.
I am a clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. I approach each person in treatment as a unique, dynamic individual whose needs and goals may transform as the therapy progresses toward creating lasting change. I understand that the decision to seek out and enter therapy can be difficult, and I feel that a strong therapeutic relationship is vital in creating a trusting and comfortable environment.
There is no one out there who knows your child better than you do. For that reason, I believe that it is imperative to include parents in the treatment process with children. However, I also pride myself on my ability to form trusting relationships with each child. Whether it is playing with dolls on the floor with a five-year-old, playing cards as we talk with a 10-year-old, or conducting more traditional modes of therapy with older children and adolescents, I am always able to find a way to connect with each child that I see. I am also available to conduct parent training sessions and am very empathetic to the everyday trials and tribulations of raising children in today’s world.
